Describe the ideal version f “feminism” in the 21st century.. What should gender equality, family, and status look like in the coming century?
The ideal version of what “feminism” would like, in the 21st century to me would be women having options to live and raise their family how they see fit. Working women with their husbands raising their kids, both working parents, or even women staying home and raising their children because that is where they want to be. That’s the beauty of living with the freedom of choose, women can choose to work and be held at the same level as men or women can choose to stay at home and let their husbands bring home the money while they take care of the home. I see family being an important role for whoever is taking that role in the family. So no need of institutions to raise our children, family is still a priority however gender equality is equal whether it be the man or women working the same pay grade would be expected, and the children would grow up no different than if the other. Possibly even having both parents work but only with the time the children are in school so there is still time to spend with the family and not one is there more so than the other. Really the ideal version is whatever that one individual wants it to be for me I would like to work part time and be able to take my kid possibly kids to school and pick them up and take them to school programs and volunteer to go on field trips. While also having my spouse home at 4 so that we can have dinner as a family and talk about how each other’s day went while we both make dinner and clean up after. While having this for me I do think that women who want to work and be invested in their jobs should be able to that as well as having a family if that is their choosing.
